We strive for a transparent chain for responsible production. The first steps towards a transparent chain have been taken. We have made the nutmeg chain transparent with blockchain technology.

SpiceUp
With the SpiceUp consortium, of which Verstegen is part, geo-information has been made available to support 100,000 pepper farmers in Indonesia. This information is used to improve the quality and quantity of pepper production. This project contributes to an improvement of the living income, food security and optimizes the consumption of water and fertilizer.
